Kiwifruit Industry Innovation Trophy
The kiwifruit industry is inviting nominations for the Innovation Trophy. The trophy, set up in 2015 by former Chairman of Kiwifruit New Zealand Sir Brian Elwood, recognises outstanding individual achievement and was presented for the first time last year. The winner in 2017 was Kanako Inomata, head of marketing for Zespri in Japan, selected for outstanding innovation in Japan marketing. Nominations for the award are open to anybody associated with the New Zealand kiwifruit industry, including Zespri staff, post-harvest and growers.
The nominee must be an individual, not a group, and the criteria is for an applied idea to solve problems and create improvements. The deadline is Monday 2 July.
