Kiwifruit is growing in a number of areas within New Zealand and there is work available in the industry picking, packing, pruning and maintaining our crops. The vast majority of kiwifruit is grown in the Bay of Plenty region and predominately centred around Te Puke and Katikati.

Although work in the kiwifruit industry is available almost 12 months of the year, our most labour intensive periods are April till September when we harvest, pack, repack and winter prune.

Te Puke – known as the Kiwifruit Capital of the World! NZ’s booming kiwifruit industry gathers the majority of its crops from Te Puke. Plenty within easy commuting for the adventurous visitor, jet boats, off-roading, white water rafting and not to forget the live volcano White Island just off Whakatane with its spectacular sulphurous events. White-sand beaches, bush walks, elegant gardens, horse riding & hunting trips, Te Puke has a lot to offer those who enjoy the outdoors.

Katikati – Known as New Zealand’s Mural Town, Katikati hosts NZ’s first open air art gallery with 37 works of art in and around the main street.
